The CP62xx are supplied with a 24 V power

supply unit, optionally also with an inte-

grated uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

A battery pack can be connected externally

and installed on a DIN rail close to the PC.

For the CP62xx with Intel

Atom™ a 1-sec-

ond UPS solution without battery pack is

available. Capacitors integrated on the moth-

erboard maintain PC operation for a few

seconds, so that key variables can be saved.

Different basic conﬁ gurations are available

for the individual versions, ranging from

a 2 GB CFast card with Windows CE to a

2½-inch hard disk. Two CFast cards or a hard

disk and a CFast plus the lithium battery of

the system clock are accessible from the rear

in the plug connector panel.

Due to its two independent Ethernet

interfaces the CP62xx is ideally suited as

a compact central processing unit for an

EtherCAT control system. A free Mini PCI

slot enables different ﬁ eldbus cards or a

third, independent Ethernet interface to be

used. NOVRAM for fail-safe data storage

can also be plugged into the Mini PCI slot.

The CP62xx can optionally be

extended with module or plug-in card

slots
